Mercy

Today the reading I have been looking at is Matthew 5:7

"Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy". (v 7)

What is mercy?  To me, mercy means forgiveness and forgiveness means mercy. We have all been in situations when we feel people are trying to put us down or make us feel like we are not good enough, deliberately going out of their way to hurt us  and everything around us is negative. But if we show mercy towards the person or situation that has hurt or damaged us, it can open the doors to reconciliation and love. Being merciful, can help us to heal the pain, sadness and distress we are experiencing. It can sometimes help the other person too. brings freedom to the giver and receiver. We all make mistakes because we are only human.
God has already shown His Ultimate Sacrificial Mercy to us, through His Only Begotten Son, Christ Jesus' death on the cross.

Your Mercy save me, your Mercy made me whole, thank you Lord
All Praise and Glory Lord for Your Mercy.
Amen

God bless xx
