Persecuted

Today I am studying Matthew 5:10

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, 

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."(v10)

When you look around today in the 21st Century, being a committed Christian takes courage and faith.  Many of our brothers and sisters are still suffering for their faith, people are cruel and unkind. 

God never promised it would be easy.

Many of the men and women of God in the Old Testament were put in prison, beaten, persecuted, hated and  killed.  But because of their dedication and faith, the good news of Jesus is spread throughout the world.

Jesus said "Look after my sheep" and they have. 

How inspirational is that.

Heavenly Father,
 Guide me to spread the good news
and

Bless and protect all your people.
